MacHealth (Individual Model for individual testing to establish possible eye problem).
Either Model works on iPhone, iPad and MacBooklet.
MacDx measures white, red, green and blue light stress.
MacHealth measures white light stress only.
MacHealth is 30 seconds/test for 3 tests. Can be repeated.
The stress time is 15, 30, 60 and 90 seconds for MacDx.
Studies:
#1. A pilot practice study on patients was conducted which measured delay of light brightness in those with macular problems.
#2. A published study of 6 normal subjects was conducted while stimulated with white light of the iPhone screen and showed the overall delay of 14.33 seconds and coefficient of variation of 15.9% as the mean in each eye. Interestingly, the endpoint increased with the duration of the light stimulation with disease and with subject's age. Rapid testing the two eyes and testing in dark or semi dark room didn't influence the results.
#3. Testing patients in a retinal surgeons office is being performed and being prepared for possible publication.
